Blast Design Freelancer

After gaining my degree in 1981, I worked continuously in the Design, Print and Advertising industry for five years, gaining the experience which was to prove invaluable when I decided to 'go it alone' in 1986.

After successfully running Blast Design for 15 years, I moved my home and premises from Birmingham to Ashford Carbonel (a very small village just outside Ludlow in Shropshire), in 2001. With the advent of broadband communications I was finally able to live and work in the countryside and still be in constant contact with my clients throughout the country.

I do not pretend to be a large outfit - I do not have large overheads which have to be passed on to my client. I work in a modest chalet-studio from my home with the most up to date equipment needed to run a successful design studio.

I offer a very professional design for print, brand identity, display graphics, advertising and web design service, which all my clients find very cost-effective and although I supply quotations before commencing any work, I will always spend more time on a project if required - to get it right!

Although I work alone I constantly use the services of independent copywriters, photographers, illustrators and reliable printers who offer me the most competitive rates and service.

Since working as a freelance designer I have been very fortunate to work with clients who have also become good friends as both our businesses have grown.

Finally! I have always enjoyed my work and fortunately, I still get the same satisfaction from seeing my work in print and on show as I did when I left college - long may it last!
